Leeds Enterprise Society

The Leeds University Enterprise Society helps enterprising students develop and achieve their ambitions by offering motivation, advice, resources and opportunities. The society is aimed at young entrepreneurs, proactive students who would like to run a business at some point in the future, and those with an interest in business and enterprise in general. Members can expect to:

  • Develop their enterprise skills through a series of business-related challenges and events
  • Meet like-minded students and local entrepreneurs
  • Find out about the advice and funding available to students in the university and city

Enactus

Enactus (Formerly SIFE – Students In Free Enterprise) is one of the largest student organisations in the world, with teams in 40 different countries totalling over 30,000 students worldwide! In the UK, there are 3,000 students in over 50 universities  involved in over 270 projects.

Enactus teams run projects all over the world whilst improving their own skills and having a great time. Joining SIFE opens a world of opportunities and allows any student to truly expand their horizons and make a positive difference while gaining experience, training and contacts in the world of business.

Enactus Leeds are the representative for the University of Leeds for Enactus UK. We run community projects both in the local community and internationally. Enactus Leeds has been running since 2007 and we have run numerous projects working with such people as young mothers, NEET’s (those not in employment, education or training) and ex offenders. We aim to recruit dedicated and talented people who not only want to help themselves but others (and not forgetting have a good time as well)

CY Leeds

CY is a short abbreviation for “ChuangYe” meaning “start-up” in Chinese. CYLEEDS is a Chinese Enterprise Student Society established in Oct 2009. It provides a high standard of activities for both students and scholars mainly relating to the business and economy of China domestically and internationally. With the knowledge transferred by CYLEEEDS’ sharing spirit, members are encouraged to apply their business concepts to develop social and commercial projects that create economic opportunities in the local community, step by step to become international business leaders.

Bright Futures

Bright Futures is uniquely careers-focused national student society at the University of Leeds.

Bright Futures focus on helping our student members maximise their employability skills by giving them insights into organisations enabling them to make informed career choices. We also aim to provide networking events and help our members build key skills and commercial awareness through skill workshops with employers. In order to do this we work with a range of global firms in different industries.

AISEC

AIESEC is the world’s largest youth-led organisation with 60,000 active members in over 1,800 universities in 110 countries and territories. AISEC’s core activities are focused on facilitating a global exchange scheme that provides challenging, cultural work internships for students and recent graduates.

AISEC Leeds help to develop leadership by running an exchange program for students to work abroad. This involves teams of students approaching local businesses and also approaching local students to sell the opportunity to have a traineeship abroad.
