Enterprise students win second place at International Video Pitch Competition

Date

Team LASSR wins second place at the International Video Pitch Competition organised by University of Pécs and Ohio University. The team comprises of five students enrolled in enterprise discovery modules; Stephanie Victoria, Linda Heinisch, Alastair Jackson, Rowan James and Stefani Solomou.

The competition asks students to submit a two-minute video pitch, communicating their business idea in that short time frame. They also have to send in a one-pager describing their business model.

The team has worked together in the past as part of the Enterprise Awareness module and won the module's challenge by raising the largest amount of money at their stall at the Union Square. Their success has now reached international levels with this win.

Their business idea is an iliakò solarglass charger, the first-ever transparent solar mobile charger. Using the latest generation of integrated photovoltaics and photonic nanocrystals, this snap-on accessory provides a minimalist, elegant solution to the limitations of conventional portable batteries.
