Why Embed Enterprise Education into your Curriculum?
The UK government has been exploring ways to enhance young people’s employability skills that will see Enterprise Education embedded within the FE curriculum.
Free Resources to Support Enterprise Education in your Curriculum
The Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies have developed a free online resource for FE Schools & Colleges for any FE student to learn how to start a business and essential employability skills. This 2-week course will launch on Monday 14th September 2015, and is designed to support teaching these skills in an engaging and interactive way using videos, voting and discussion boards for teachers/students to interact with real-world issues & receive expert advice.
Find out more about the course and register your interest at firstname.lastname@example.org. Or contact the Centre for Enterprise and Entrepreneurship Studies on telephone: 0113 3437312.
Download the Teachers Resource Pack
Click here to download the Enterprise by Example teachers pack (pdf). The aim of this resource pack is to give Further Education teachers extra information about this online resource and provide a space for teachers to share activities and ‘how to’ examples from their own classroom experience.
Give us your feedback! What did you think of the course? How did you use it? was it useful? What could have been better? Please attend one of our feedback sessions that will be taking place 4:30pm to 6pm on Wednesday 14th October and Wednesday 18th November.
Emilee is the first point for FE Schools and Colleges who wish to find out more information about the course and what Enterprise by Example can offer.
Sally is leading on the researchside of the project; she is really interested in finding out how students and teachers use the platform as this will help us to develop it for the future and to share the work we are doing with other educators.
Sarah’s role is to manage this project, liasing with the digital team, and coordinating all the activities to ensure the project runs on time, and within budget.

Carla is working with Sally to track how the course is used. She has also done some development work on the surveys on the site.
