On May 4th 2012, we got students and grads ready for their start-up careers . . .
We together brought over 150 students, from over 20 countries to the Google Campus in London for a UK first-of-its-kind event.
Designed by the National Association of College and University Entrepreneurs the Startup Career Launchpad was designed to provide delegates with the knowledge, skills and insight they need to join the startup community.
Entrepreneurs, founders and investors from all over the world joined us to paint a picture of startup life and what it entails. Delegates heard from speakers and panelists covering the entire startup spectrum — from Seatwave founder Joe Cohen to venture capitalist Stefan Glaenzer to Startups.co.uk editor Stephanie Welstead.
Startups and small businesses now employ almost 90% of the UK’s workforce, yet the vast majority of students still follow a corporate path after graduating. Through a series of talks, panels and workshops, the Startup Career Launchpad revealed to students that there is another way.
