Leeds Enterprise Centre welcomes visitors from Aarhus University

On 4th December, six academics from iCare and the Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Aarhus University in Denmark visited Leeds as part of their global study tour of leading Entrepreneurial Universities. During a special meeting of EEGIR and LEEN, the visitors presented on their inter-disciplinary research into entrepreneurship and innovative enterprise education approaches. Representatives from the Enterprise Centre gave an overview of the inter-disciplinary research and teaching taking place at Leeds as part of ‘Enterprise at Leeds’. Finally, the visitors talked further about the major international enterprise education research project they are leading: Promoting a Culture of Entrepreneurship which has received major funding by the Nordic Research Council.

Afterwards, visit leader Dr. Jan Warhuus said “Our visit to Leeds was an opportunity for a true exchange of knowledge, ideas, and interests which was deeply felt by all participants from Aarhus, albeit much too short, and one we look forward to building on in the future”.

Dr Richard Tunstall and Dr Sally Jones from the Enterprise Centre have recently been appointed as Visiting Scholars to Aarhus University and will be visiting Denmark in the coming months work with iCare on new research projects and to further develop the collaboration between Aarhus and Leeds.
