Use Your Entrepreneurial Spirit To Raise Money For Leeds Mencap

Date

Calling on teams to take on Leeds Mencap’s Accumulator Challenge 2019!

Kicking off on March 1st, the  sixth Accumulator Challenge. This is for teams of about 4 people to turn £30 into as much money as possible during 30 days of their choice in March or April.

It’s a fun and engaging way to make a real impact for children in Leeds with learning disabilities, along with their families and carers.

The Challenge

Teams are being encouraged to think creatively to raise the most cash over 30 days. Prizes will be awarded to the team that makes the most profit and the team with the most innovative fundraising idea!

In previous years  Leeds Mencap have seen entries from office tuck shops, a St Patrick’s Day party, Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenges, quizzes, and someone even donated their overtime earnings.

Read more here about their Impact for children and families in Leeds or about how they’ve helped Lora, Ben and Phoenix and other families they support.

It’s important to know that Leeds Mencap are a local and independent charity and they need to raise all their own funds. While they are affiliated to Royal Mencap Society (Mencap), the national charity, they don’t receive any funding from them.  This is not a University of Leeds event, however we are pleased to share this fundraising opportunity with our students and staff.
