Steve Baker

Having completed a degree in Electronic Engineering and an MSc in Computer Science, Steve worked for BAe Systems in a variety of roles. He was sponsored on an MBA at Henley Management College and after a brief period selling very high value public sector contracts he started a software company in the real time embedded software field. Five years later he exited and moved to Yorkshire where he has focussed on his passion of sub £10M turnover SME’s either investing, acting as a Non-Executive Director or offering advice on an ad-hoc basis – probably to well over 500 companies by now. In his spare time he also served in the Army Reserve reaching the rank of Lieutenant Colonel and Commanded a Regiment in Yorkshire.

Having recently exited a group of property services companies that went from £1M to a profitable £10M turnover in 5 years, he is still actively involved in a veterinary business and a boutique technology accountancy / taxation / advisory business.

Steve says he is currently seeking something else to fill his time as there is only so much tennis one man can play . . . . .
